How long ’til I get my order?

Most orders are sent within 1 – 3 business days

Personalised items can take 2 – 4 business days to be sent

Small items are sent first class.  It is then up to Royal Mail how quickly they get to you.  It usually takes around 2 days, but can be as short as 1 or as long as 4 days.

For Europe, post takes around 3 -5 working days, for Rest of the World (outside Europe), it is around 5-7 days, but can take 2 weeks.

Larger orders (like framed prints and paintings) are sent via Hermes and tracked.  These take 2 – 4 working days to arrive.

Delivery, Post & Packaging

P&P is added automatically at the checkout, calculated on the weight of items ordered and the destination you’d like them sent to.

Please get in touch if you need an item more urgently and would like to upgrade your postage.

Cards and notepads

Standard items are sent within 1-3 business days; personalised cards are sent within 2-4 business days. Cards are sent first class.

Larger orders (eg framed prints & paintings)

These are packaged up very securely to avoid any damage. They are sent by Hermes courier.

You can nominate a “safe place” or neighbour to leave your parcel with.

You can track the progress of your delivery online using the order code you’ll be emailed.

What if I need it sooner?

I will do my best to help you!

Solutions I’ve used before, are me writing your message for you in a card or with a gift, and sending straight to the recipient.  This cuts out the time of sending to you first.

There is also the option of upgrading your postage.  Please get in touch if you need an item more urgently, and would like to upgrade your postage, and I will give you the options.

Secure payment process

You can pay securely using debit card, credit card or Paypal account. This is done securely through the Paypal system, so Art Of Your Success does not see your payment details.

If you don’t have a Paypal account, you will need to create one – it is honestly quick and gives added protection for your financial details.

If you would rather discuss a different way of paying, please get in touch.

Account

You don’t need to create an account with Art Of Your Success.

But you can have one if you like! The advantages of having an account are that you can see your current and past orders. It also stores your address details for future orders. These wont be passed on anywhere else.

You can either create an account at My Account, or simply create a password when you’re checking out.

Can you design something for me?

I love doing bespoke work.  I do lots of commissions.  It could be for postcards, prints, prizes for a team, a personalised headwear design, a painting, or putting a design on anything from a phone cover to a mug to a cushion.

Don’t worry if you need ideas, I’ve never been stumped so far!

Pretty much anything you can print on is possible, so please contact me if you’d like my designs on something not yet in my shop.  It’s very likely I can get it made for you.

Do you do web design?

Depending on capacity, I do help some small businesses with web design.  If you’re interested, do get in touch and we can discuss what I might be able to do to help you.

What’s included in the painting; what can I expect?

My paintings typically include event name, personal name, date and race time, and can include personal details that made the achievement special for you, for example if you managed a personal best time or ran for a charity or in memory of someone special.

My paintings are inspired by your running number, the event logo or signpost marking your destination, often from the photos and/or website links you send me. So that I can make the most attractive painting, I use my artistic touch to leave out unattractive or unnecessary elements such as sponsor logos, and modify colours.

Please remember these are done by hand, not printed, so the final product is a representation, not an exact copy of images you send.  I mix each colour individually just for your painting.  Handpainting also adds real texture and character to your painting, reminding you for example of creases in your running number after you’ve run hard wearing it, or weathering on a signpost.

What if I don’t have any ideas?

Don’t worry, you’ve come to the right place!

I’ve created paintings just from a time and an event, and using my experience of what’s memorable as a participant, combined with my creative eye on what looks good.

The finished product

Painting:

Hand painted illustration, in watercolour and pen, on 200gsm acid free, fine grain artist’s paper.

Frame and mount:

I mount the paintings in a high quality bevelled ivory mount.  My frames are wooden, painted black (2cm wide).  They are made in the UK and supplied with high quality acrylic, giving better UV protection and clarity to your painting.  The back is made from 2.5mm backing board.  The frames are fitted with double D Rings with polycord, which means it’s professionally ready for you to hang straight onto your wall.

Size: 24 x 30 cm frame (9.4″x11.8″) with an approximate image size 20 x 14cm (8″x5.5″)

Displaying and preserving your painting

You will receive a professionally mounted and framed painting that shows off the artwork at its best, will preserve it, and is completely ready to be hung on your wall.

The info you need to order your painting

  • your name or nickname, as you would like it to appear on your painting
  • the name, date and website of your event
  • your time (if you would like that included on your painting)
  • a photo of you at the event in your race kit (if available)
  • any other info, memories or ideas you’d like included (optional)

Ordering before your event

How long to receive the painting

You will receive acknowledgement of your order within 24 hours, advising when you can expect to receive your painting.  It will typically take 2 weeks from ordering to receiving your order, but please bear with me if order volumes are high around key events, like major marathons or Christmas! I will give you update timing if this is the case.  It’s helpful to allow plenty of time for your order, but please let me know if there is a particular deadline, like a birthday, when you need your painting for.
